Welcome to the website of the Camps Bay Watch (CBW).

CBW is the official Neighbourhood Watch entity for the Camps Bay Policing precinct - covering the areas of Oudekraal, Bakoven, Brighton Estate, Rontree, Glen and Clifton - i.e. from just this side of Llandudno through to the Clifton/Bantry Bay border & Top of Kloofnek.

CBW is but one of the anti-crime projects initiated by the Camps Bay Community Police Forum (CBCPF) and as such is also officially registered with the CBCPF as well as the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Department of Community Safety (DoCS).

CBW is therefore a volunteer civic initiative, duly registered, to allow you to partake in "community/citizen policing" in order to improve safety & security within your neighbourhood.

CBW members form the "Eyes & Ears" component of our overall policing strategy for the Camps Bay Policing precinct area.

We therefore form but one link in the overall chain of safety and security, but our link is vital, as effective policing cannot be achieved without community involvement.

The CBW is therefore very involved in all aspects of community policing, safety & security, however it is NOT meant as an Emergency destination point.

For this purpose we have established the very successful and effective Camps Bay Community Safety Initiative (CBCSI) specifically designed to be your 1-Stop Emergency & Rapid Deployment option for ALL Crime, Policing or Safety Issues requiring immediate intervention or assistance.
